Many critics have tried
to say that Ed Magedson and Ripoffreport.com are not
helping people. They call them liars, extortionists,
or claim they make up reports. Well we are asking you
the consumers who are victims of these scamming corporations
to sound off in support. This site is dedicated to the
stories, letters, and thank yous we receive every day,
in droves.
If you are new to RIpoffreport.com it is a consumer
advocacy site where consumers who have been wronged
can share their experience. Companies are encouraged
to post a rebuttal and share their side, very similar
to the Better Business Bureau, but our difference is
that we do not remove the posts or make information
go away if the business asks. Instead there is a permanent
dialogue, good, bad or indifferent. We believe this
allows consumers to make their own decisions. If the
company came around, and the consumer posts a follow
up comment, that is good to know. If a thousand consumers
complain and a company does nothing, well that makes
a statement too.
The pages on this site are dedicated to those wonderful
letters we get about the people who we helped wither
get a refund, avoid a scam, or just get educated. That
is our goal and that is why we do what we do.
